Healthy snacks mid morning and afternoon are a great way to stave off hunger pangs and keep your energy levels up. Sometimes though, the best options like nuts and seeds come in big packages - so it's easy to eat more than you meant to! Lots of people are going mad for Graze snack boxes. My boss gets hers delivered to the office every day. They are great as they in neat portions, but the snacks can be high in calories, fat and/or sugar - the orange and ginger flapjack is 246 calories, the same as a bar of Dairy Milk chocolate.

The upside with Graze is, you choose your snacks so go for those that have less than 1.5g saturated fat, 5g sugar and 120mg sodium. Or stick to home-packed snacks - try unsalted nuts or seeds (put a portion the size of your cupped palm in a tupperware box) or crudites with chickpea dip (just whiz up a can with some lemon juice, tiny bit of olive oil and chilli flakes). And graze away!
